It isn’t often I am excited about a Pilot for a new TV show. Most of them fall short if you have any hype at all going in. So many shows have tried to recapture the magic that L o s t had and reel you in right away. They fail miserably because they try to throw out some obnoxious mystery rather than give us good writing and characters.

Until now! The Walking Dead’s Halloween premiere set the tone better than any pilot since Lost for me. High quality effects, filming, and story. It had the feel of an Epic movie. Something that L o s t had almost every single week. The Walkign Dead seems to have this going on as well.

The opening scenes of The Walking Dead told us straight away that we just weren’t going to have our hand held, or give you a club flyer. They were going balls out and showing us violence. The first major kill you see is a girl that couldn’t be any older than 10 years-old getting a bullet between the eyes.

The 90 minute Pilot was intense and had the epic zombie movie feel. While you got some homages to movies like 28 Days Later with a hospital to empty town scene, expectations of a more character driven story seem to be something we can expect. It’s not going to be zombie killing for an hour every week.

Sundays just became the most violent day of the week for me. Dexter and The Walking Dead are going to be the bloodiest 2 hours you may ever get on television in one day.

It appears Double Rainbows are mainstream now. If you spend any time on the internet you have heard about Double Rainbows at some point. Now it shows up almost everywhere, and everyone wants in on it. In fact there are quite a few very good parodies, and songs celebrating the great Double Rainbow video. Instead of posting all the originals and the Double Rainbow Song (so popular it is even available on iTunes for $1.49. I ripped it off Youtube a month before. Sorry guys.) again, take a look at this post for some background.

It has become more popular than a Forex mentoring program The best mainstream song I have seen of Double Rainbows was by Jimmy Fallon, as Neil Diamond on Saturday Night Live a couple weeks ago. Unfortunately this is the best video I could get of it since it gets depleted anytime it gets popular.

By far the most idiotic, and probably the most childish though is this one. I’m sure you can guess just by looking at the still image at the start of the video why, and then you will laugh at the absurdity.

Just saw a pretty awesome remix of the double rainbow guy posted this week and figured I may as well show the original some love too. The song is awesome even if you have never seen the Double Rainbow OMG video first, but to have the full context you May as well.

Some guy is whacked out on shrooms, or something and is camping out when he sees the glorious DOUBLE RAINBOW FULL ON ALL THE WAY ACROSS THE SKY. HE then feels the need to start crying from the intensity. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN!? IT’S SO BRIGHT! OMG IT’S SO BRIGHT AND VIVID. IT’S SO BEAUTIFUL.

EDIT: I see a TON of people wanting this song in .mp3 format in the comments on Youtube so I figured I’d give you guys an easy way to pull audio from Youtube videos.

I just did it with this song and it was quite easy. Just go to FLV2Mp3.com and post the link of whatever Youtube video you want to rip the audio from and it will walk you through the rest. You will need an e-mail address to get the file, but just make a new one in Yahoo! Mail or something just for the file.

Basically, this is how you rip audio from Youtube videos. It’s called FLV to .mp3 is what you are doing. There may be a program to download out there you can use, but the one everyone used to use Tubetilla isn’t free anymore that I can find. All you can do is rip the video, but not convert it to .mp3. IF anyone knows of one let me know. That site is pretty great anyways so no need really.

Now the hard part, but not too bad. This video has some annoying talking at the end so you are going to probably want to edit the .mp3 file somehow to cut that talking out. Yuou are going to need two more downloads to do this. (THIS IS JUST FOR EDITING. YOU DON’T NEED TO DO THIS.)

First you will want to go download Audacity here. This is a free mp3 and audio editor. Read the tutorials to see how to do it. I never used it before and it took me only about 10 minutes to figure it out.

Then when you are done you need to save it as an .mp3, but the first time they will say you need the LAME .mp3 Encoder to do it. Just go read this here for the info on that, but you do NEED this if you want to edit and save the .mp3 files because Audacity doesn’t encode them as .mp3s with their software alone.

Then you are good to go. Just drag it into your .mp3 player and you have yourself some Youtube audio.

Great day for real world trolling friends. First we had Dan Gilbert vs. Lebron James, and now we have the release of the Mel Gibson racist and expletive riddled rant against his former lover Oksana Grigorieva. Sadly it can’t be shared anywhere yet, but it is available to listen to here for the time being. (May not last so listen while you can.)

If you have been under a rock for a while you are going to find Mel Gibson berating his former lover to no end with offensive language, and racist remarks. Telling her for the most part that she is worthless and that he isn’t gonna put up with it anymore. He is truly a class act, and his career is going to be on the rise after this outburst. /sarcasm

Actually, he’s going to be doing infomercials and Mercury insurance reviews pretty soon with as many crazy rants as he has had.

The internet gets pretty intense at times. So much so that you may not even be able to string together words to show your RAGE at a troll, or someone else that is too stupid to write a complete sentence. This is when you show your true laziness and just go with the things that make the internet great. Nothing words.

When someone is saying things that are so stupid you can’t even comprehend them enough to respond it is time to use terms that make no sense. Like grunts and noises in word form. Also, it is used for terrible insults that are so bad that you don’t even care to respond like a human. Like some guy telling you “Ur Mom”, or get some quick weight loss tips tubby”. Here are two examples of these words:

“Hurr Durr“: Just say it. Doesn’t it sounds like it hurts? It should hurt if you do it right. Nothing shows more disgust than using this term. It shows you just can’t even lower yourself to make a coherent response.

“DAR, or dar, or darrrr“: Literally the same meaning as “hurr durrr” , but a slight variation and much faster. String together more R’s to drive your point home. Maybe even holding down R for 10 lines of a message box.

Sometimes something is funny. Well slightly amusing. Sick of “lawling, and lulzing”? It wasn’t really that funny was it? Just say what you really did:

“Heh”

Did someone think they said something clever, or funny? Did you watch something that you thought might be entertaining, or play a game you thought you would like, but were totally underwhelmed? IS whatever it is the definition of mediocrity? This is when you just use this term to display your disgust at wasting your time:

“Meh”

Nothing words. The way the internet should be because the words look like they sound.
