Nobody probably cares, but I decided to watch Smallville all the way through this summer, as I for some reason just quit watching the show after like 5 episodes. Now I’m kin of excited to see the show again for the last season.

I’m the biggest bandwagon TV fan there ever was. I wait until any show announces the final season and then I marathon the whole thing so that I can pretend I’m a fan. This is what the cool kids do. They don’t wait 9 years to see how it goes down. They wait until they can see the end without having to wait more than a few months. I did this for Lost, and I sure as hell did it for Smallville. Only show I actually stay current with is Dexter. Everything else I listen to people talk about and nod my head and smile. Then the last season I roll up like I’m a “serious fan”.

Anyways, since I just got done with Smallville I think this fight was the highlight of the entire series even if whatever that episode was about was ridiculous. Nothing better than seeing Lana roundhouse kick Chloe in the face with her ugg boots to knock her down the stairs. Of course there are 12 posts of it around the net and not one of them bastards will let you embed it.

The reason I mention this show is because I see it listed as terrible in many, many places. Funny thing is that when I heard about the show coming out I ALREADY knew it would suck ass and decided I would never bother watching it in the first place.

This show starred Matt LeBlanc, best know as Joey Tribbiani on Friends of course. After that I have no idea what this show is about. Let me just guess before i look it up based entirely on the intro clip (see below).

First and foremost I can say I hate the theme song more than any show I have ever seen. Joey is cruising in a convertible into Hollywood, or something I have no idea. Apparently he must be a star, but he is only half idiot it appears from the intro. He seems to think he is all that and has at least a sense that he isn’t a moron by making goofy sex looks into the camera like he is a true stud.

What does this mean? I geuss he must be an actor in LA, or some BS and he struggles to make it and terrible jokes ensue. Eventually they probably couldn’t figure out what they wanted to do so they started to bring Friends cast on to boost ratings. I am guessing as this had to be done I’m sure. Then instead of being smart he was dumbass Joey again. Playing <a href="http://www.amerimerc.com/" target-:_blank">swimming pool supplies and hooking up with chicks.

This is all you need to know:

Matt LeBlanc portrays Joey Tribbiani, a struggling actor and food lover who becomes famous for his role on Days of our Lives as Dr. Drake Ramoray. Joey is a womanizer with many girlfriends throughout the series, in keeping with his character on Friends.[1] The series roughly picks up where Friends left off, with Joey at the beginning of the show making a move from New York to LA to proceed with his acting career. He is constantly talking about food or eating sandwiches or pizza.

Wow…what a great show. I dude that screw chicks and talks about pizza. How could this have possibly failed?

Well I <a href="http://internetseriousbiz.com/2010/07/15/crap-tv-flashbacks-cavemen/" target="_blank" target="_blank"">decided a couple weeks back when I found the un-aired Pilot of Cavemen on Youtube to give it a go.

By the time I got into the ORIGINAL pilot I already hated the show. The un-aired version was way better than the real pilot I saw, but that doesn’t mean a whole lot. At first it isn’t a terrible show, and I got a few chuckles out of it. Then I got to the new cast and the new California Cavemen series and I started to hate it immediately.

The original pilot was changed because there was a controversy about the show being somewhat racist towards blacks (African Americans…whatever). While you can sort of see it in the pun-aired pilot with tons of black stereotypes, it wasn’t nearly as bad as the actual show that DID air to me.

Besides not really being funny anymore a couple episodes in, I really started to notice how the Cavemen were using ALL black stereotypes to talk about themselves. While the intention may not have been racist, but it’s hilarious that anyone though that using the same stereotypes of black people for CAVEMEN was a good idea.

Anyways…this show sucks balls and really should have been canceled. I mean I wouldn’t even watch this on Youtube for free it sucks so hard. Guess I will get back to my PS3 instead of watching TV anyways as games are a more fun time waster anyways.

Is this show still on? I’m really not sure. I saw it on Hulu the other day, but I didn’t look at it because of how insanely awful it was. I’m a HUGE fan of stand-up comedy. Absolutely love it. What better time is there than to go to a comedy club at 7-8 PM on a weekend and get drunk, or on a night I probably had to get up early the next day, baked out of my gord, and laugh my ass off? Perfect start to a long drunken evening out and puts you in a festive mood. There are some amazing no name comedians out there.

Anyways, when I heard about a show called “Last Comic Standing” I figured, hey they might actually have funny comedians on here and do a screening process like American Idol where we only had to watch one excrutiating episode. False. The show wasn’t even really about being funny. They may have had a handful of decent comedians show up, or pass their screening process, but they made the show to appeal to the idiots that like stuff like The Real World. Most of the comedians should ahve been selling health insurance in nc rather than competing as a comic.

Let’s see…I like comedy. I like to laugh. Do I give a rat’s ass about people living together and fighting? I want to laugh, not be pissed off.

They did actually let the better comedians knock off the token a-holes, but they still tried to manufacture drama with people that just weren’t into it. You know comedians that actually were trying to make it as COMEDIANS.

Has there ever been another TV show that was created based on COMMERCIALS!?

Everyone loves GEICO commercials. They are clearly some of the most creative over the last decade. From the Cavemen, Gecco, and many other random funny ones I always enjoy them. Great ad team they have. Did I really want a TV show based on any of these things? No, not really.

When I heard Cavemen announced, and saw ads for it, I thought it was just another joke GEICO commercial. I bet most people didn’t realize it was going to be a series either. It was, and it lasted for only 12 episodes before it was cancelled. The series was placed on hiatus during the Writers Guild of America strike, and cancelled before the strike ended.

The premise of the show was basically the same as the commercials. Cavemen living in modern society and everyone thinks they are dumb. Trying to fit in an live like Homo sapiens. Getting into everythign they do including dating and worrying about quick weight loss.

The original pilot was never aired because it was said to be “racist” because some critics thought the Cavemen were being used as a metaphor for blacks and other minorities. The series subsequently underwent a major creative “retooling”, which included changing the show’s venue from Atlanta, Georgia to San Diego, California.

The unaired pilot can be viewed on Youtube here. In fact the entire series can be viewed there if you are interested in this piece of history.

Description of video:

“Joel, Andy and Nick are invited to a private BBQ which Kate’s parents are having. Joel attempts to get Kate’s father’s blessing for him and Kate to marry. This pilot has different actors than the show that aired. Most notably Joel’s brother Jamie. Sam Hunnington was brought in and his name was changed to Andy. Also the show was changed to being in San Diego instead of the southern United Staes. Also aspects of joels job changes. Norksbild has different colors as well. Comidian Nick Swardson is in the pilot as well as the first episode.”

If you didn’t hate “Reality TV” enough by 2003, the ridiculousness of it all was really coming into form with shows like Joe Millionaire. While I didn’t watch the show myself regularly, I did have a girlfriend that DID watch it, and it really showed me that I had lost the battle of keeping this kind of crap out of my home.

Joe Millionaire was broadcast on Fox beginning in January 2003. It was broadcast in the UK that same year. There was even a sequel, The Next Joe Millionaire later in October 2003.

The premise of Joe Millionaire is that bachelor Evan Marriott has inherited millions of dollars and is searching for a potential bride. He takes a group of hopeful women on several dates to exotic and luxurious locations, eliminating women at the end of each episode until only one woman remains. The main gimmick of the show is that the entire “millionaire” premise is actually an elaborate ruse. He isn’t a millionaire at all, but just a construction worker. Apparently he was also found out to have utilized his ab workouts as an underwear model previously as well, but he certainly was no millionaire.

The show ended with a reveal and the woman had to decide if she would stay with the guy anyways. Since she did they really DID get a million dollars.

If you are into this stuff I can see the appeal. I can definitely see the appeal for women because they love to watch other women make fools of themselves and get embarrassed. This show certainly did that since these are all gold diggers that are getting fooled on national TV.

This show may not be the worst of all Reality TV, but it was discussed around me, and I hated it so much that it is memorable. This was the show that I had to accept that television had been ruined forever.

Here’s just a little taste of how moronic this show was:

I don’t think there was ever a comedy show that lasted so long I thought sucked more than this one. This show almost angered me just seeing it on the TV I hated it so much. Can you believe this show actually lasted EIGHT YEARS!?

This show starred Jim Belushi, and it pretty much was a charicature of the man himself. Everything about the Jim on the show was basically Belushi acting like himself. The same stale act that we saw in every single movie he ever did. It was like watching one terrible scene over and over again.

The show also had TV mainstay Courtney Thorne-Smith that if you aren’t under 15 now probably have seen 10 billion times on TV and some really crappy 80s movies like Summer School.

www.bestdietsupplements.org

This show is just rage0inducing in how utterly STUPID it is. Nothing about it is funny. It makes you want to poke yourself in the eye with a pencil so you can no longer see it. If there was a torture chamber and there was one TV show I would consider the ultimate torture test it would be this one.

According to Jim Intro (blech…thankfully it is insanely short)

You like incredibly awful horror movies? You find that they are never scary, but they still say they are in the “horror” genre? How about some half-assed mystery thrown in that you can call the second it is introduced, but you are too goddamned stupid to turn it off thinking (this is a clear sign you have done to many drugs) that MAYBE, just maybe they may have slipped one by you? Obviously you like to watch 19 year-old girls take off their shirts and get chased by a psycho who was abused by their mother so you stick around. OF course that doesn’t happen on TV. So you are left with all the bad stuff, but you still watch it.

Welcome to Harper’s Island. Before the episode even starts you have to be asking yourself…”Who in the hell thought that (“One by one…”) was clever, or scary?” If you have seen this show you know what I mean. This is one of those intros that they lay that on you at the very end EVERY. SINGLE . TIME. and you just start to get angry before the episode even starts.

Oh…this was some awful 13 episode show that was on some channel last year, but for some reason while streaming on Netflix I watched an episode….and then 12 more. All the while jamming plasma mounts into my ears and eye sockets to try and prevent me from continuing. I did not succeed.

So…I watched the entire series. Yes…this show was only made 13 episodes, much like the other piece of rubbish on right now called Person’s Unknown that already got shifted to Saturdays because nobody gives a flying fart about it….except me of course. Train wreck, car crash, you get the idea.

To this day I don’t remember a damn thing about this show. Nothing. I just remember that I knew who the “killer” was by the 3rd episode and it took them 7-8 more before they broke out the “twist”, which frankly I had figured out so long ago I spent 8 episodes trying to conjure up something even more ridiculous by giving them the benefit of the doubt. I was so lost in mediocrity by then that I was actually quite happy with them using my idea from 8 episodes earlier and throwing it back in my face after being lulled to sleep by my own wandering mind. I’ve been awake for 23 hours so if any of this makes sense I’m quite surprised.

This is an Adam Corolla double. You would think I’d go for the easy Jimmy Kimmel craptastic flashback, but Adam Corolla has had some much more odd experiences from my memory on television I think. At least he is the more underground of the two in my eyes anyways.

Not only do we pull Adam Corolla old school off the scrap heap we get a healthy dose of Dr. Drew in this flashback. <a href="http://http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loveline" target=_blank">Loveline has been a syndicated radio show for over 25 years. Loveline the TV show aired on MTV before MTV was no longer a music channel and just a reality TV channel.

Back in the mid-90s Dr. Drew the geeky smart guy and Adam Corolla the raunchy loudmouth and sexist “cool” guy took the sex show to the air and did quite well. The show was very popular on MTV and kids couldn’t get enough of it since it was about sex and even in the 90s in the good ol’ USA sex is still repressed on television so badly that any talk of it seems a little dirty. Still is today, but back then it was much worse. We really haven’t come very far. We can’t even have goddamn video games with sexual themes that also feature MURDER. Make war, not Love is America’s theme. That and sell used books.

Oh yes, Loveline. This is really all you need to know about this show IMO:

Completely forgot about this show until yesterday when I was watching “Still Waiting”. The sequel to “Waiting” obviously. Adam Corolla makes an appearance in the movie on a self-help video on how to treat women like garbage and get laid at the same time. Obviously, this is him playing himself, or at least the persona he has developed, and he used on The Man Show. Remember who he did the show with? The one and only Jimmy Kimmel of course.

The Man Show appeared on Comedy Central for a few years before Kimmel and Corolla got too big for it and moved on. Then our good friend Joe Rogan took over with Doug Stanhope and drove the ratings into the ground and didn’t even get a pronexin deal to show for it.

While the show was actually one I watched and if I went back and watched it again it was probably pretty damn funny. Of course this is a long time ago and it is crap now no matter how funny it is. Definitely a show you want to go and watch though IMO.

Theme with some weird subtitles from some language you don’t know.
