Crap TV Flashbacks: “V” The Original Mini-series

Most of you aren’t old enough to have seen this mini-series when it originally aired. Well…I wasn’t really either. I slightly remember it being on and having nightmares about lizard people. I wasn’t old enough to know what was going on, but I watched it recently again just for the lulz and because the new series is really bad too. I just wanted to see what the end was going to be and why this one sucks so hard.

The mini-series originally aired back in 1983. Apparently, it is responsible for people in sci-fi nerd nation to call aliens “Visitors” or some such thing. Kind of odd considering that they are all EVIL. They released these on DVD sometime in the 90s which we can all get as torrentz whenever we want.

Let’s just say that this original show was just as cheesy as the new one, but probably at least had better science and a less annoying son. They didn’t have as modern office furniture back in that version, but it was still unrealistic sci-fi, oh wait do people actually buy into the Sy-Fy makeover that went on? Can you believe they changed the name of that channel to that? Retarded. They want to copyright Sy-Fy because they can’t on Sci-Fi is what I read. Anyways, back to this show…Not sure if these are for the end of the new one, but they are for the original:

the ending was basically the “V” winning, and us asking for help from other aliens in space at the end. Yeah…it’s gay. You can read the entire plot summary here on wiki if you really want to be spoiled.

Note: This is how you do spoilers on message boards btw. Make a HUGE gap between the spoilers and the rest of your post so whiners don’t whine about you being a dick. That is if you give a rat’s ass for anyone else you dirty sexy troll

So…if you read that you probably know how this show will end. It SHOULD end that way because that is just how logic says it should. Of course we need more Pro-America propaganda don’t we? ;)

EDIT: Oh snap…the entire mini-series is on Youtube. Here’s Part 1:

People In the 1950s Were Just Smarter Than Us – Part 2

Note: One of these is a fake. Made for satire. Can you guess which one?

With so much knowledge coming from the 1950s educational film industry, we must do at least two more posts on the subject. The first told us to beware of homosexuals, how to have a good party, how to be popular, and of course how to survive a nuclear attack.

Next we will find out many other exceptional ways to avoid trouble, and improve your worthless life, Barbara. You shouldn’t be taking so many sleep aids, Barbara. You will be late for school. Every single day, Barbara. You add NOTHING to the conversation. Your are a deviant, Barbara. Kill yourself, please.

Yes…Barbara is a deviant according to this educational film. Sadly, the entire film isn’t available, but it is still worth posting as it is a gem, Barbara.

Did you ever wonder what girls learned about Sex Education? Wonder no more. These 2 videos will give you the inside scoop on how girls are taught about sex. Complete with the beauty of getting your period. “Golly, at first I thought, well…I didn’t know what to think!”. Mother and daughter conference night! Golllllyyy!!!

Well..If you sit and stand straight it will give your organs inside your body room to function better. “Peggy you know I can’t go swimming. You KNOW I’ve got the curse.”

You know what is a real threat to your kids? Hipsters. Hipsters and Your Young Adult: A Deadly Combination. Even more dangerous than a COBRA!

People In the 1950s Were Just Smarter Than Us – Part 1

There are a lot of people that long for the simplicity of the 1950s. Everything was so much more straight forward, but of course a lot more racist, and sexist as well. White men dominated everything, and I’m sure there are some today that wish it still was that way.

They had some pretty arcane ideas about nearly everything in the 1950s from their joint pain relief to nuclear fallout, and there is no better way to see this than to just watch some educational films from the era.

While today we are a bit more educated on women, homosexuals, “minorities” (if that’s what you still call people), those damn “reds”, and drugs, the 1950s are still prime lulz for us even today. Much more so than they were then.

Here are some of the best 1950s educational films and just how “WTF?” they seem by today’s standards.

Are You Popular? Probably not if you don’t have a matching sweater and scarf you disaster of mix and match.

Diddle-dum-dum…diddle-dum-dum…is prophetic in this one as the way to keep safe during a bombing/nuclear explosion is simply to “Duck and Cover!”. If you played Fallout 3 at all you are well aware this is the way to go, but it appears “scientists” think otherwise.

Do you like to party? Sure you do, but I bet you have no idea how. You know who does? The government. That’s right, they will tell you exactly how to answer the question: “What makes a good party?

Have you ever met a homosexual? I sure hope not because they are dangerous, and mentally ill according to this 50s educational film. They will probably try and kill you if you ever find yourself alone with them. Either that or show you pornography on a fishing trip. Poor Jimmy. Getting arrested for getting raped by another guy. Boys Beware!

Insane Clown Posse Sticking it To Stupid Scientists

You ever wonder how magnets work? Why? It’s just miracles. There is no science. Music is magic. You can’t even hold it. You don’t want to talk to a scientist. Mother ****ers just lyin’ and making me pissed.

I found this site that is greatest for this fad “****in’ Magnets? How do they work? Plenty of things to copy/paste to your message boards for this notorious fad.

does enzyte work? Miracles. Magic.

LSD Testing on British Troops in the 1950s

If you are an internet conspiracy nut, or just someone that like to laugh, this is one of the funniest videos on youtube. LSD-25 was something that was tested extensively by the military and the government during the 50s, 60s, and later in many experiments.

These drugs were used for many purposes that included attempted mind control in such things as the MK Ultra experiment by the CIA (this actually has evidence so this isn’t crackpot stuff here). This instance of testing on the British troops is more of a weapon of war. These young acne-clad youths are given the drug just to see how they “react” while doing maneuvers. It was hoped that eventually they could use it as a weapon against enemy troops to get them to be incoherent and easily defeated.

Of course these experiments provided little results as the way soldiers reacted were not uniform, and there was really no effective way to distribute the drug. They certainly tried with aircaraft dropping it in smoke form, and other ways, but alas the experiments never really became that useful.

Here is a hilarious clip of British troops using LSD and how they reacted:
