Weird/Funny/Disturbing TV Ad

This may be sort of disturbing to some, but it may also be quite hilarious to others who have a sick sense of humor. Just be warned that it is sort of graphic and if you have a weak stomach you may not want to see it. Myself, I think it is hilarious, but that is just me. It is basically some sort of accident prevention program they run commercials for in Ontario, Canada and they are just using shock value I guess to get the message a crossed. Let’s just say that hopefully she isn’t left high and dry and still gets to keep her contemporary bedroom furniture…because she is going to need a place to rest…lol

Create Your Own Jigsaw Puzzle

My buddy in Branson wanted me to find some sort of puzzle game for him so I figured you can’t get much better than to actually get a game for a jigsaw puzzle. This one is pretty neat actually. It allows you to take any picture and upload it. Then it will take that picture and turn it into a jigsaw puzzle. Very unique little widget if I do say so myself. You can cut it up into about 121 if you would like or as little as 9 I believe.

Play Asteroids Online

Here’s another great classic. Pretty much an exact copy of the original arcade version. Controls are just the arrow keys and the space bar to shoot. I always remembered that trying to stay in the center the whole time and not starting to fly off was the best way to go, but those stupid little flying saucers tried to roll in every once in a while and made you move. The other thing to realize is that your gunfire doesn’t necessarily reach the edge of the screen either so you have to be aware of it. Especially if you move from the center. While playing please visit a friend of mine at Las Vegas homes for sale if you would ;) .

Copypasta

Copy/Pasta, or copypasta is a common tactic on message boards. Every so often when someone starts a topic they will find some random, obscure article, or other message board post about an amazing story and paste it as their own story. Someone may have had an amazing experience at drug treatment centers while they were going through heroin treatment and they may write about it. True, or not the story is completely amazing and people tend to post it a lot on message boards to get a reaction out of people by acting as if they just wrote it. With the abilities most have with finding things in search engines now it is almost impossible to get one of these stories past a group of forum readers.

Those that spend their lives on the internet pretty much identify these stories immediately as ones that are internet lore as it is. Most of these outrageous stories have already been posted on /b/ so if anyone that read that site happen to be around they will recognize them immediately and just post the standard reply:

copy/pasta or copypasta

Here’s some copy/pasta about copy/pasta that I am not going to give credit for as you will understand after you read it:

The thing is, people don’t realize the work that goes into properly doing copypasta. They think copypasta is something that slackers can do, or faggots, or assholes. It’s not true. Copypasta is a dying artform and if you don’t see that, I don’t know what’s wrong with you.

First of all, you sacrifice spending real time on /b/. You can’t participate as much as you’d like to because you’re so busy doing copypasta that you can’t. As a result, you miss a lot of really great threads. Still, it’s a sacrifice, so you do it.

There’s also the problem of “Flood detected”. This message can really hurt your progress. You should try to get your copypasta into every active thread and if you have to sit there waiting before the flood period is over, you lose valuable time. This is also very difficult.

Also, picking which threads should get a copypasta first are sort of difficult. There are threads that don’t stay on the first page for very long, so you may be missing some of the more prominent threads. Of course, you should try to hit them all, but for the desire effect, you need to get into bigger threads quickly.

Finally, there’s the moral problem. One thing about copypasta is that sometimes it feels good, but sometimes it feels bad.

Too Long, Didn’t Read tl;dr

Many times someone will write an extremely long message board post that people are too lazy to read. It may not be just because it is a Wall O’ Text, but because the title wasn’t interesting enough to get someone to read your topic. Someone may talk about their drug rehabs experiences and just not be that good of a writer to keep your interest. If you happen to do such things readers are likely to ignore it. If you are a jerk about such things either just post:

Wall O’ Text (If it really is one),

OR

Post “tl:dr” to show that you are lazy, but still a jerk and it was too long so you didn’t read it.
